It was the mid-00's in Southern California. A man was working in an Orange Country commercial painting and refinishing facility when he was struck in the head with a five-gallon bucket of sanding sealer during an incident in the factory's supply room. He was knocked unconscious for three days. Upon awakening he described a visit to a parallel dimension, and an encounter with a mysterious entity named Kro Nyzr. The being claimed to be a future incarnation of the man himself, and spoke of the importance of creativity and environmentalism.

Throughout his life the man thought little of music, considering it background sound to be blasted from an open car door while drinking beer with his buddies. But after the accident he developed a newfound interest—specifically in 'electronic' music—to which he began listening obsessively. Within weeks he was buying software and equipment and starting to recording his own tracks.

A year later he had enough tracks for a short album which he played for friends and co-workers, none of whom were impressed. One exclaimed, "This blows—nobody will ever listen to it. The worst thing ever recorded!" Another who seemed to know a bit about the genre said that it demonstrated none of the advances in electronic music from the past 30 years. Others just shrugged and expressed indifference. This left the man questioning the value of creativity. So he decided to release the album online attributed to Kro Nyzr, the mysterious entity which inspired him.
